Story summary
- On April 8, a group of Indian construction workers displayed extraordinary courage as they rescued 16 children and six adults from a raging fire at a children's enrichment center in Singapore. Among those saved was Mark Shankar, son of Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister. Sadly, the tragedy claimed the life of a 10-year-old Australian girl. In recognition of their heroism, the workers were honored with the Community Lifesaver Award.
