On May 11, 2022, Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was tragically shot dead by Israeli forces in Jenin, clearly identifiable in her press gear. Despite mounting evidence of Israeli gunfire, justice remains out of reach. The International Federation of Journalists calls on the ICC to investigate her death and the alarming trend of violence against journalists in Palestine, where over 214 have lost their lives.
