Celebrating Women Leaders: Awards and Recognitions Across Various Sectors

Melissa De Cunto and Nalan Kus, seniors at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), have been honored with the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) Rising Star Award. This accolade recognizes students who demonstrate a commitment to their career paths, academic success, and community involvement. Both students are the first from NJIT to receive this award in its 11-year history. De Cunto, who double majors in business and cyberpsychology, aims to create a publishing company for neurodivergent authors. Kus, studying financial technology, has been actively involved in student leadership, including addressing curriculum concerns for her major.
