The Southern African Trees for Climate Adaptation and Resilience (SAT-CARe) project aims to address these issues by developing a digital toolkit to guide the strategic use of indigenous tree species. Professor Guy Midgley from Stellenbosch University emphasizes the need for science-based, locally informed decisions to avoid the pitfalls of poorly guided tree planting efforts.
