Meanwhile, Turkey, which hosted races from 2005 to 2011 and returned during the COVID-19 pandemic, has expressed ongoing interest in rejoining the calendar.
Germany's Hockenheim circuit, under new ownership, is also vying for a spot. However, the return of Hockenheim hinges on significant investment to upgrade its facilities, which have been described as dilapidated since its last race in 2019.
