The motorcyclist was reported to be traveling at a high rate of speed and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. This incident marks the 60th traffic fatality on Oahu for the year, a significant increase compared to 29 fatalities at the same time in 2024.

E-Bike Crash in Kalihi

In another incident, two boys aged 5 and 16 were hit by a vehicle while riding an e-bike near Farrington High School around 4:30 p.m. The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital in serious condition, while the 5-year-old was in stable condition. Neither child was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Bicyclist Injured in Kapolei

Additionally, a bicyclist was critically injured in a crash in Kapolei on Monday afternoon. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and police closed the southbound lanes on Fort Barrette Road for investigation.
