Criticism and Concerns

Despite the advantages of satellite internet, there are concerns regarding its scalability and reliability. Critics, including the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, argue that LEO satellite services may not meet the bandwidth needs of all users, particularly in rural areas. They caution that oversubscription could lead to reduced speeds, undermining the service's effectiveness for critical applications like telemedicine and distance learning.
