Trey Burke, a Columbus, Ohio native, played for Michigan from 2011 to 2013, starting all 73 games and averaging 16.9 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. He led the Wolverines to the 2013 NCAA Championship game, famously hitting a buzzer-beating 30-foot three-pointer against Kansas to force overtime in the Sweet 16. His sophomore season was particularly notable, as he averaged 18.6 points and 6.7 assists, earning multiple accolades, including the Wooden Award, Naismith Trophy, and the Oscar Robertson Trophy. Burke's performance solidified his status as the first Wolverine to be recognized as the consensus National Player of the Year.
