Following his release on October 9, Pritchard is now transitioning to Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville for further rehabilitation. Florida State announced that he is "alert, responsive, and able to communicate," marking a significant milestone in his recovery journey.

In connection with the shooting, four individuals have been arrested: Jayden Bodison, Caron Miller, Germany Atkins, and an unnamed minor. They face multiple charges, including three counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle. Gadsden County Sheriff Morris Young stated that Pritchard was "not doing anything wrong" at the time of the ambush, which authorities believe was a tragic case of mistaken identity.
