This year, the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays lead the nominations, each with six finalists.

The selection of Gold Glove winners involves a combination of votes from all 30 MLB managers and up to six coaches from each team, accounting for 75% of the total. The remaining 25% is determined by the SABR Defensive Index, which evaluates defensive performance through advanced metrics. This year, the utility position was assessed using a specialized defensive formula developed in collaboration with the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).

Voting will begin online on November 2, 2025, at 9:30 p.m. ET and will remain open until November 5, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The Platinum Glove winners will be unveiled at the Gold Glove Award Ceremony in New York City on November 7, 2025.
