While aerobic exercise was superior across most measures, the study also noted that flexibility exercises might offer long-term pain reduction, albeit with lower certainty. Neuromotor exercises, which focus on balance and coordination, showed benefits in short and long-term gait performance. Mind-body exercises, including yoga and tai chi, were effective for short-term functional improvements.
