Loyola Denies Turning Point

Loyola University New Orleans denied Turning Point USA's request to become an official student organization, citing concerns over alignment with Jesuit values.
A student claimed that Turning Point promotes harmful ideologies, referencing statements made by the late founder Charlie Kirk.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry urged LSU to honor Kirk with a statue to champion free speech, and he spoke at a Turning Point rally at LSU that drew over 1,500 attendees.
Loyola stated that the decision can be appealed through their Student Government Association.
