Rabbi Condemns Rioters

Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef condemned the assault on MK Yoav Ben-Tzur, calling the attackers “rioters who cloak themselves in the guise of zealotry.”
He urged condemnation and accountability for their violence against public representatives during a protest against the Draft Law.
He stated that authority over the Draft Law rests with the committee of yeshiva heads appointed by the Council of Torah Sages.
