Barger Celebrates ADU

The first accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in Altadena has been completed after the Eaton fire, replacing the garage destroyed in January.
The two-bedroom ADU was built by the property owner, and his son will move in soon.
L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger praised the project as a symbol of progress.
More than 2,500 rebuilding applications have been filed region-wide as recovery from fires that devastated 13,000 homes continues.

Bass Announces Rebuilt Home

The first rebuilt home after the Palisades fire is ready for occupancy in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, with four bedrooms and fire-resistant upgrades.
It replaces a smaller ranch-style house destroyed in January.
Mayor Karen Bass announced the completion and the city's commitment to expedite rebuilding.
Across affected areas, nearly 2,000 rebuilding permits have been issued, and a grand opening for the new home is set for December 6.
