Judges Dismissed Nationwide

Eight immigration judges in New York City were dismissed by the U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration as part of a nationwide push to expedite deportations.
The firings follow earlier job cuts in local immigration courts, totaling 90 judges fired this year nationwide.
Officials from the National Association of Immigration Judges and the Justice Department confirmed the firings.
The judges were based at 26 Federal Plaza, leaving 34 at that location.
