Solorio-Alvarado Indicted for Trafficking

Gerardo Solorio-Alvarado, a 44-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, was indicted for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in Atlanta.
Authorities seized nearly 1,600 pounds of meth hidden in shipments of blackberries during surveillance operations.
Nelson Enrique Sorto, a 36-year-old accomplice, was also charged.
The prosecutions are part of a Homeland Security initiative to combat drug trafficking.
