CineAsia 2025: A Spotlight on Asian Cinema and Theatrical Innovations

CineAsia 2025, celebrating its 30th anniversary, will take place from December 8-11 in Bangkok, Thailand. This event highlights the rising prominence of Thailand and the broader Asian region in the international film production landscape. Major Cineplex Group CEO Khun Vicha Poolvaraluk and his son, vice president Visarut “K” Poolvaraluk, will receive the Exhibitor of the Year Award. John Hsu, head of studio distribution and operations at the Walt Disney Company, Asia Pacific, is set to be recognized as Distributor of the Year. Other awards include the Motion Picture Assn. Industry Champion Award for Yoshishige Shimatani and Comscore’s 2025 APAC Box Office Achievement Award for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle.”
