Rodríguez Condemns Machado

Jorge Rodríguez, president of Venezuela's National Assembly, condemned the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to opposition leader María Corina Machado on December 10, 2025.

Rodríguez Repeals ICC Law

The National Assembly of Venezuela voted unanimously on December 11, 2025 to repeal a law ratifying the Rome Statute, enabling withdrawal from the ICC.
Jorge Rodriguez, president of the National Assembly, said the repeal would take immediate effect.
Nicolas Maduro, the president of Venezuela, is expected to sign the repeal.
The ICC is investigating alleged crimes against humanity in Venezuela since 2017, following protests that left over 120 dead.
