The United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reports that October 2024 through September 2025 saw record Arctic heat and reduced sea ice.
The period featured the hottest temperatures in 125 years, the lowest sea ice extent in 47 years, and unprecedented precipitation.
