NYPD Investigates Possible Antisemitic Stabbing in Crown Heights

On Tuesday afternoon, a stabbing incident in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, is under investigation by the New York Police Department (NYPD) as a potential antisemitic attack. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. near Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place, close to the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters. This location has heightened security following a recent antisemitic shooting targeting community members in Sydney, Australia, during a Hanukkah celebration.

The confrontation began as a verbal dispute between two men. The suspect, after initially walking away, was followed by the victim, a 35-year-old man, leading to a second verbal altercation that escalated into physical violence. The suspect then produced a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the chest. Despite the severity of the situation, the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Kings County Hospital.
