As the plane hit the runway, he witnessed flames outside his window and experienced the cabin rolling over, leaving passengers suspended in their seats. “I felt we were coming in fast,” Carleton recounted, noting the chaos as passengers struggled to escape the wreckage. After the crash, he helped fellow passengers unbuckle their seatbelts and navigate the upside-down cabin, which was filling with jet fuel.

Once outside, Carleton observed the scene as firefighters responded to the wreckage. He recalled the emotional atmosphere among passengers, some in shock and others crying, as they were transported to the terminal.
