Marika Pogany Remembered

Marika Pogany, a Holocaust survivor, was among the 15 victims of the Bondi Beach mass shooting on December 21, 2025.
Her funeral at St. Joseph’s College Chapel drew many loved ones.
Born in 1943 in Czechoslovakia, Pogany moved to Australia in 1968 and delivered over 15,000 meals to Jewish seniors.
Pogany received the Mensch Award in 2019 for her contributions.
