Currently, Hong Kong has approximately 900 charging stations, with only 40 equipped to support the GB/T standard used by mainland EVs. The government is collaborating with shopping centers, hotels, and the Transport Department to expedite the installation of additional charging facilities to accommodate the expected rise in EV traffic.
