Voters Elect Representatives

U.S. voters in Northeast Pennsylvania will elect a House representative in 2026 during U.S. President Donald Trump’s second term, with nominations Feb 17–Mar 10 and the primary on May 19.
In Lexington County, South Carolina, a Dec 23 special election filled a vacant House seat with Republican John Lastinger and Democrat Chuck Hightower.
Turnout exceeded expectations and voters cited representation after the prior officeholder's criminal issues.

Delegate Replacement Election

A special election will be held in Northern Virginia on January 20, 2026, to replace Delegate Mark Sickles, who resigned to become Secretary of Finance under Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger.
The Fairfax County Democratic Committee has started the nomination process, with early voting beginning immediately and primary scheduled for December 28.
The election follows two other vacancies in the region and special elections for those seats are scheduled for January 13.
