Preserving Kyiv's Architectural Heritage Amidst War and Development Threats

As the conflict between Ukraine and Russia intensifies, particularly with increased aerial assaults on Kyiv, the preservation of the city’s architectural heritage faces significant challenges. Since the beginning of 2025, Russian missile and drone attacks have escalated, leading to widespread destruction. Amidst this turmoil, a group of activists is striving to protect Kyiv's unique architectural legacy, particularly its Ukrainian modernist buildings, which are emblematic of the city’s cultural identity.
