Expansion Plans

Following the connection of Scott Harbour, other buildings in Cardiff Bay are set to join the network. Cardiff and Vale College was the first establishment to receive heat from the system, with additional connections planned for the Wales Millennium Centre, Butetown Hub, Nelson House, Tresillian House, Ty Hywel, and the Senedd in the coming weeks. Although the initial heat source is Viridor's Energy Recovery Facility, the network is designed to be "heat source neutral," allowing for flexibility in future energy sourcing.
