Overview of the Immersive Experience
Beginning January 9, 2026, Apple Vision Pro users will have the opportunity to watch select Los Angeles Lakers games in a new format called Spectrum Front Row in Apple Immersive. This initiative, a collaboration between Apple and Spectrum, aims to enhance the viewing experience by providing fans with a unique perspective on live basketball games. The service will be available to users in Southern California, Hawaii, and parts of southern Nevada, as well as select international markets.
Key Features of Spectrum Front Row
Spectrum Front Row in Apple Immersive offers a high-definition viewing experience with a feed of up to 150 Mbps and seven distinct camera angles, including views from the scorer's table and player tunnel. The broadcasts will feature in-game graphics presented in 3D, enhancing the visual experience for viewers. Additionally, Ambisonic microphones will capture Spatial Audio, allowing fans to hear the sounds of the game, such as sneakers on the court and crowd reactions.
The broadcast team includes Emmy Award-winning commentator Mark Rogondino and former Lakers player Danny Green, who will provide analysis and commentary throughout the games.
How to Access the Games
To access the live games, viewers in the Lakers' regional broadcast territory must be Spectrum Internet customers or have a video subscription that includes Spectrum SportsNet. They can download the Spectrum SportsNet app for Apple Vision Pro and authenticate their subscriptions. Users with a free NBA ID can also access live games, full-game replays, and highlights via the NBA app. For those outside the Lakers' broadcast territory, full-game replays and highlights will be available 24 hours after the game concludes.
