Overview of the Production

Miraculous Corp and Monlove have announced a collaboration to create a live stage production inspired by the animated franchise “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,” with a global launch planned for 2027. The production will feature an original story and songs, integrating various performance elements such as acrobatics, aerial choreography, illusion, dance, and puppetry. The narrative will follow superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir as they confront a new threat.

Key Figures Behind the Show

The creative team includes Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson, both recognized for their work in family entertainment. Allaire, the founder and artistic director of Monlove, expressed her admiration for the character Marinette, highlighting the importance of portraying strong, relatable heroes for today’s youth. Ferguson, the head of creation at Monlove, emphasized the production's ambition to deliver a premium spectacle that combines stagecraft and technology, aiming to create an experience distinct from traditional children's shows.

Background of the Franchise

Since its debut in 2015, “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” has evolved into a prominent family entertainment franchise, reaching audiences in over 150 countries. The franchise boasts 53 million followers on social media and has garnered 50 billion views on YouTube, supported by more than 300 licensing partners. Roz Nowicki, global head of consumer products at Miraculous Corp, noted that the franchise transcends the superhero genre, focusing on themes of self-empowerment and courage.

Production Details and Future Plans

Specific details regarding cities, venues, and ticket sales for the 2027 world tour are expected to be announced later this year.
