EyeYon Initiates Trials
- EyeYon Medical gained FDA approval to begin U.S. first-in-human trial of EndoArt, a synthetic corneal implant for chronic edema, with enrollment set for March 2026.
- The trial will be led by Professor Francis Mah and involve ten corneal surgeons to assess safety and long-term performance.
- Separately, GenEditBio received FDA approval for an IND to start a Phase 1/2 trial of GEB-101 for TGFBI corneal dystrophy, with enrollment in Q2 2026.
