Simultaneously, Florida State University is making significant changes to its coaching staff. The Seminoles have announced the hiring of Adam Scheier as their new special teams coordinator, replacing John Papuchis, who departed for a similar position at Missouri. Head coach Mike Norvell emphasized Scheier's extensive experience and innovative approach, stating, “Adam brings incredible experience and a cutting-edge approach to FSU as our special teams coordinator.”

Scheier has a notable history in coaching special teams, having previously worked at institutions such as Ohio State, Texas Tech, and UNLV.
