New Comic Series Expands the Avatar Universe with "Kyoshi Warriors"

Dark Horse Comics is set to launch a new comic book series titled “Avatar: The Last Airbender — Kyoshi Warriors” this spring, developed in collaboration with Avatar Studios and the original creators of the Nickelodeon animated series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The series will consist of three monthly installments, with the first issue scheduled for release on May 6, 2026.

The narrative follows Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors as they leave their island home to join the war against the Fire Nation.
