According to HRC's Annual LGBTQ+ Community Survey, nearly half of LGBTQ+ adults (47.5%) reported being less "out" in their daily lives compared to the previous year. This retreat is particularly pronounced in workplaces (26.5%), healthcare settings (25.4%), and public spaces (28.3%). Additionally, over half (51.1%) of LGBTQ+ individuals indicated they feel less visible in public life. The survey also revealed that two-thirds of transgender and nonbinary Americans are facing increased difficulties in accessing healthcare.
