The announcement was made by founding member Fat Mike during an event at The Punk Rock Museum’s NOFX exhibition on January 16, coinciding with his alleged birthday. Directed by James Buddy Day, the film aims to provide an unfiltered look at the band's tumultuous journey from drug-addled teenagers to punk rock icons.

The documentary promises to delve into the band's chaotic history, showcasing their rise to success while grappling with self-destructive behaviors. Fat Mike stated, “Most people wouldn’t be OK with releasing a film that shows footage of getting whipped in their dungeon, or their drug use for the past 20 years... I’m not like most people.” This sentiment reflects the film's commitment to honesty, as it will feature both humorous and painful moments from the band's past.

The film includes interviews with the core lineup: guitarist Eric Melvin, lead guitarist Aaron ‘El Hefe’ Abeyta, and drummer Erik Sandin, all of whom are also executive producers. Other executive producers include Gary Ousdahl, Cisco Adler, and Jon Nadeau, with the project produced through Pyramid Productions.

In line with NOFX's anti-industry ethos, the documentary will debut new music from the band, which will only be available to audiences attending screenings. Sneak-peek screenings are scheduled for March 15 and 16 at Brushy Street Commons in Austin, Texas, coinciding with the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. Following these previews, the documentary will be screened at curated theaters worldwide starting in April, with tickets available from February 20.
