The partnership between Syngene and Bristol Myers Squibb began in 1998, leading to the establishment of the Biocon Bristol Myers Squibb Research and Development Center (BBRC) in 2009. This center has evolved into a significant R&D site for BMS, supporting various stages of drug development, including target identification, lead discovery, and clinical biomarkers. Currently, the BBRC employs approximately 700 Syngene scientists who work closely with BMS's global research organization, contributing to the development of therapies in areas such as cardiovascular diseases, fibrosis, immunology, and oncology.
