Collective Artists Network Launches HistoryVerse with Mythological Slate

India’s Collective Artists Network has unveiled its inaugural content slate through HistoryVerse, focusing on narratives inspired by Indian mythology and history. The slate includes eight titles, which encompass both theatrical features and streaming series, under the newly formed Collective Studios. This production entity aims to consolidate original content development across various platforms.

The announced projects draw from significant figures and traditions in Indian mythology, including Hanuman, Krishna, Shiva, Shivaji, Durga, Kali, and Swami Samarth. The previously released AI-powered series "Mahabharat" marks the beginning of HistoryVerse's strategy to adapt culturally-rooted material for modern audiences.

The productions are designed to deliver immersive narratives with a high level of detail. They are being developed as AI-native projects, utilizing generative AI, 3D/CG animation, VFX, and selective live-action elements. The company’s proprietary technology platform facilitates the integration of AI tools primarily for world-building and environmental design. AI-powered 3D and animation are employed for character design and motion, while live-action reference footage is selectively incorporated to enhance realism.

Vijay Subramaniam, founder and group CEO of Collective Artists Network, emphasized the richness of Indian folklore and its potential for a global audience. He stated, “I’ve always believed that our folklore is among the richest in the world, and that these stories, woven into the core of our cultural fabric, deserve a global stage.” As HistoryVerse expands, the vision extends beyond films and series to include experiences, consumer brands, and gaming, aiming to create a comprehensive ecosystem around these narratives.
