Police Investigate Assault

The Fresno Police Department is investigating after a woman was found severely injured in an alley on Thursday around 2:25 p.m.
She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Authorities have not identified the woman and are seeking witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage.
The cause of the injuries remains unclear and no weapons were recovered at the scene.
Police urge anyone with information to contact them.
