Leon Weintraub, a Holocaust survivor, is now 100 years old and warns against forgetting the past.

He was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau and narrowly escaped death by blending in with other prisoners.
After the war, he reunited with three sisters and became a gynecologist, dedicating his life to remembrance and sharing survivor testimonies.

Survivor Shares Trauma

Ilana Kantorowicz Shalem, born at Bergen-Belsen on March 19, 1945, is among the youngest Holocaust survivors.
Her mother Lola hid her pregnancy during camp chaos, enabling Shalem to survive.
After the war, they lived in a refugee camp before moving to Israel.
Shalem notes that many survivors, including her mother, struggled to share their trauma as approximately 196,600 remain, many in Israel.
