CNPC Innovates POE Production

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) achieved a breakthrough in solar panel and electric vehicle production as the Dushanzi petrochemical plant in Xinjiang produced nearly 60,000 metric tons of polyolefin elastomer (POE) in 2025.
This marks the first industrial-scale POE production in China and reduces imports that stood at 95%.
CNPC plans to expand annual POE capacity to over 300,000 tons by the end of 2026, with additional POE projects underway.
