Surgeon Harm Discovered

An independent review of 789 patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital from 2017 to 2022 found 94 harmed by surgeon Yaser Jabbar, with 36 experiencing severe consequences.
The review found serious deficiencies in Jabbar's surgical practices, including poor planning and inadequate documentation.
Jabbar no longer practices in the United Kingdom, and Matthew Shaw (Hospital Chief Executive) says substantial changes have been implemented to improve patient safety.
