Gen Fukunaga Joins Bizaar Studios as Strategic Advisor

Gen Fukunaga, the founder and former CEO of Funimation, has joined Bizaar Studios as a stakeholder and strategic advisor. In this role, Fukunaga will focus on developing original animation projects, including collaborations with Webtoon. Under his leadership, Funimation managed over 1,000 brands, including iconic titles like ‘Dragon Ball Z.’ The company was involved in various aspects of production, marketing, and distribution, producing English-language versions of over 1,000 TV episodes and films annually. Additionally, Funimation operated a subscription streaming service and engaged in home video and digital sales, theatrical distribution, and partnerships with more than 100 manufacturers of character-based products.
