ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is actively developing an artificial intelligence chip and is currently in negotiations with Samsung Electronics for its manufacturing. According to sources familiar with the matter, ByteDance aims to produce at least 100,000 units of the chip, designed specifically for AI inference tasks, by the end of this year, with plans to ramp production to 350,000 units in the future. The company is expected to receive sample chips by the end of March 2026.
