Kenan Thompson and Lamorne Morris Adapt "Unwanted" Podcast into Action Comedy Film

Kenan Thompson and Lamorne Morris are collaborating on a new action comedy film based on the popular QCode podcast “Unwanted.” The podcast, which debuted in 2021, quickly ascended to the top of the fiction podcast charts. It follows two individuals who attempt to claim a $1 million reward by capturing an escaped convicted murderer, only to find themselves ill-prepared for the ensuing chaos.

Production for the film is set to commence this summer, with Richie Keen, known for his work on “Ghosts” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” directing the project. The screenplay is penned by Morris and his longtime creative partner, Kyle Shevrin, who also directed the original podcast series. They will produce the film under their 11 Below banner, alongside Thompson and John Ryan Jr. from Artists For Artists (AFA). Additional producers include Carter Swan, Billy Magnussen, and QCode’s Rob Herting, Ben Curtis, and Nick Shanks, with Jonathan Davino serving as executive producer.
