Weather specialist Leanne Loreto explained that the shear line, which is the convergence of the northeast monsoon and easterlies, is currently impacting the eastern section of southern Luzon. Initially, this system is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain to the Bicol Region, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
As the day progresses, the axis of the shear line is forecasted to shift northward, affecting areas such as Aurora, Quirino, and Isabela with increased cloud cover and a higher likelihood of rain. The northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, will also contribute to cloudy skies and light rain across Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao. Additionally, Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Calabarzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rain.
The easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and Soccsksargen. The remaining parts of the country will likely see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Pagasa has indicated that there are currently no weather disturbances being monitored, stating, “Based on our latest satellite imagery, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas or storms within or outside our area of responsibility, and we do not expect any new weather disturbances in the next three to five days.” This suggests a temporary stability in weather patterns following the current systems.
