Devon and Cornwall Police have implemented mobile AI-enabled cameras aimed at enhancing road safety by monitoring drivers for mobile phone use and seatbelt compliance. Recently, one of these cameras, positioned on the A361 at Barnstaple, captured an image of a driver operating their vehicle with one hand on the wheel while holding a dog with the other.
