Delta Air Lines Expands Hawaii Service with New Routes

Delta Air Lines has announced the restoration of its nonstop service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), set to begin in December 2026. This route, which will operate four times a week during the winter season and daily during peak holiday travel, reclaims the title of America's longest domestic flight. The service will utilize the Airbus A330-300, featuring various cabin options including Delta One and Delta Premium Select.

In addition to the Boston route, Delta is launching a new nonstop service from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui. This route will operate five times weekly during the winter and will expand to daily service during peak holiday and spring break periods, also using the Airbus A330-300.

Delta's expansion is not limited to these two routes. The airline is increasing its overall service to Hawaii for the upcoming winter season. Additional weekly flights to Honolulu will be added from three major hubs: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Furthermore, Delta plans to start its seasonal service from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport (KOA) earlier this fall and will upgrade its Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to KOA flights with larger aircraft.

Delta Air Lines emphasized that the new and returning routes will enhance connectivity for travelers from the Northeast and Upper Midwest to Hawaii.
