Important Dates and Academic Support
Joliet Township High Schools (JTHS) will observe Presidents Day on February 16, 2026, with no classes scheduled. Students will return to school on February 17. Progress Reports will be accessible at 3:30 p.m. on February 13 through the Campus Parent and Campus Student portals. For families needing assistance with the portal, JTHS offers support in both English and Spanish through Family Engagement Liaisons. Additionally, JTHS provides free online tutoring for students needing academic support, available after school and on weekends.
Community Engagement and Service Opportunities
On February 16, JTHS students can earn community service hours by participating in a book sorting event at the National Hook-Up of Black Women (NHBW) Headquarters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interested students should contact Ms. Regina White for registration. The same day, the 10th Annual Will County Executive Kids’ Fair will take place, featuring various educational activities for children and families.
Support Groups and Workshops
The Grandparents Raising Children support group will meet on February 17 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the JTHS Administrative Center, offering assistance to caregivers navigating educational and public service systems. A Teen Dating Awareness Workshop Series will also be held on February 18-19 and 25-26, focusing on promoting healthy relationships among teens and parents.
Educational and Career Development
JTHS is collaborating with the Will County Center for Economic Development to offer nearly 100 paid summer internship opportunities for students, with applications due by February 20. Graduating seniors can earn academic credit alongside their internships. Furthermore, FAFSA Help Nights are scheduled for February 25, March 18, and April 29, providing families with assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
Special Events and Fundraisers
The Joliet Township High Schools Foundation will host its annual Trivia Fundraiser on March 8, with proceeds supporting educational grants and scholarships. Additionally, a workshop on exploring career opportunities in health sciences will be held on March 12 at Joliet Junior College.
