Overview of the 2026 Racing Season
Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has announced its schedule for the 2026 NASCAR Local Racing Series, featuring a total of 18 weeks of racing events. The season will commence on Saturday, April 18, with the highly anticipated Hayes Jewelers 200-lap feature for the Brad’s Golf Cars Modified division, alongside a 40-lap feature for the Law Offices of John Barrow Sportsman division.
Key Events and Features
The 2026 schedule is anchored by the Modified division, which will host several significant races, including five 100-lap events: the Kevin Powell Motorsports 100 on May 2, the Elite Underground Utility 100 on May 30, the Market USA 100 on June 20, the Traffic Control Safety Services 100 on July 11, and the FOX8 100 on August 1. Additionally, the season will feature twin 50-lap races on June 13 and August 8, as well as nine twin 25-lap Modified races throughout the season.
The Sportsman division will also highlight three 100-lap races on May 23, June 27, and July 25, with the June 27 event designated as Red Oak Ladies Night, offering discounted admission for women. The Street Stock division will conduct a 50-lap feature on May 9, complemented by a grill giveaway from Steelman’s Ace Hardware. The Stadium Stock division will feature a marquee 50-lap race on June 6.
Fan-favorite events will return, including the Great Clips Crash Fest on May 16, which will showcase a skid race, demolition derby, and Crown Vic races. Another notable event, Truliant Night of Destruction on July 18, will include a demolition derby, monster truck car-crushing, and a lawn mower giveaway from James River Equipment.
