Aiyarin Phanrit emphasized that carrying a firearm in public areas without a legitimate urgent reason is a serious offense, punishable by up to five years in prison, a fine of up to 10,000 baht (approximately S$406), or both. Individuals holding P.4 license permits are restricted to keeping their firearms solely at home for self-defense purposes.
