From February 24 to 26, 2023, over 2,000 third graders from the Houston County School District will participate in Houston County Market Day, a hands-on event designed to apply economic concepts learned in the classroom. The event will take place at the Cary W. Martin Conference Center at the Roy H. "Sonny" Watson Health Pavilion in Warner Robins, Georgia, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. each day.

Students will act as young entrepreneurs, engaging in the entire process from product development to marketing and sales. Participants will create a variety of products, including handmade picture frames, jewelry, games, bookmarks, hair accessories, and phone accessories. Additionally, interactive activity stations will be available for shoppers.
