Google Expands Physical AI Capabilities with Intrinsic Acquisition

Alphabet-owned Intrinsic, a robotics software company focused on making industrial robots more accessible, is officially joining Google. This transition, announced on Wednesday, will see Intrinsic operate as a distinct entity within Google while collaborating closely with Google DeepMind and utilizing Google’s Gemini AI models and cloud services. Intrinsic was established as an independent company in 2021 after five years of development within Alphabet’s X, the innovation lab responsible for projects like Waymo and Wing.
